The look
Saltburn's friendly, volunteer-run folk festival takes over the whole town - concerts, ceilidhs, street performance, workshops and sessions spread across halls, pubs and the outdoor bandstand. The camping is on the school field at Saltburn Learning Campus; we pitch your tent there before you arrive.
The campsite is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the town-centre venues and about ten minutes from the station. When the last chorus ends, your bed is already made.
Memory foam mattresses, proper bedding, a tent that zips fully shut against the sea air. Add exactly the beds you want.
Glamping is available for any or all of the nights of Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 August - the tent price covers the lot.
Arrive with a bag, not a boot full of poles. We pitch before the festival and pack down after you've gone.

Saltburn's festival has been running for over 25 years in the town, with three decades in Redcar before that. We've pitched 1000s of bell tents at weddings, festivals and events across the UK.
The festival campsite has a 24/7 toilet block inside the school plus portaloos (including accessible), free showers in the school for a couple of hours each morning, extra showers at the Leisure Centre next door for a small fee, and freshwater taps. 24-hour security on site.
Venues are spread across town - the community theatre, church halls, pubs and the outdoor bandstand. From the campsite it's an easy 10-15 minute walk into the town centre.

Festival ticket, clothes, toiletries, a power bank and a warm layer for the sea air. Bedding only if you didn't add it to your booking. There's a morning coffee van and an evening food stall on the campsite, plus a Spar and a chippy a short walk away.
Saltburn is on the A174 coast road. The campsite entrance is off Marske Mill Lane, past the Cricket Club car park. Campsite parking is on a fenced hard court beside the field - no vehicles on the camping field itself.
Saltburn station is about a ten-minute walk from the campsite - it's the end of the line, with Northern trains running half-hourly to Darlington via Middlesbrough.

No. The tent price buys the tent, pitched and waiting before you arrive, plus the styling on Luxury. Beds, bedding and towels are add-ons you choose in the booking: single airbed £15, double airbed £20, memory foam single mattress £30, bed frame £15, bedding set £20 per bed (double £40, king £40), towel pack £15 per person. Pick only what you want, or bring your own.
A friendly, volunteer-run folk festival spread right across Saltburn-by-the-Sea - concerts, ceilidhs, street performance, crafts, spoken word, workshops and sessions in the community theatre, church halls, pubs, the Scout Hut and the outdoor bandstand. The 2026 line-up has 25+ acts including The Furrow Collective, Sam Sweeney & Grace Smith, Granny's Attic, The Magpies and Salt House.
Any or all of the nights of Thursday 6, Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026. One price covers the tent for the full festival - weekend wristbands get you into everything from Thursday night to Sunday evening.
On the festival campsite at Saltburn Learning Campus, Marske Mill Lane (TS12 1HJ) - tents go on the school playing field, an easy 10-15 minute walk from the town-centre venues and about ten minutes from the station and the sea.

No - the festival campsite doesn't allow dogs, with the exception of assistance dogs. The campsite also has no BBQs or open fires and no smoking.
No hook-ups - each tent has a battery camping light, and you'll want a power bank for phone charging.
Very - it's billed as a family festival, with children's events, puppetry and community music-making alongside the main programme. Children 8 and under go free with ticketed adults.
A Victorian seaside resort with a proper beach, a well-known surf scene, the 1869 pier - the only pleasure pier on the North East and Yorkshire coast - and the 1884 water-balanced Cliff Tramway, the oldest of its kind still running in the UK. Bring swimwear as well as your dancing shoes.
By road it's the A174 coast road; the campsite entrance is off Marske Mill Lane past the Cricket Club car park. By train, Saltburn is the end of the Tees Valley line - half-hourly Northern services from Darlington via Middlesbrough, then a ten-minute walk.
Campsite parking is on a fenced hard court beside the camping field - vehicles aren't allowed on the field itself. In town, Hob Hill car park is free and open 24/7.
August is Saltburn's warmest month - typically around 18C by day and 12C at night - but the sea air cools quickly after dark. Our tents zip fully shut, and made-up bedding with a duvet beats a sleeping bag.
Yes - each 5m tent sleeps up to 4, so the Essentials works out at £60 each for the whole festival before add-ons. Two memory foam mattresses push together for couples. It's a strict 4-person limit for safety.
